Good product the material was heavy duty aluminum cast not that cheap paper thin stuff the other guys make..the mating surface match perfect with the housing.. Great upgrade for your truck. I recently upgraded my differential cover to the PPE upgraded cover, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The installation was a breeze, and the cover has significantly improved the maintenance of my vehicle. Not only does it provide better protection for my differential, but it also makes fluid changes and inspections much easier. I highly recommend the PPE upgraded differential cover to anyone looking for a simple yet effective upgrade for their vehicle.

Nice diff cover especially for the price! Double check your type of axle, don’t just count the diff cover bolts.

Install:
Remove old diff cover and use brake cleaner and razor to clean off old gasket. Wrap diff gears with a plastic bag to keep gasket bits from falling into diff.
I smeared black Permatex on the PPE cover and hand tightened the bolts. Waited one hour for the gasket to set and then torqued snug (the torque specs are too high for my in-lb wrench and too low for my ft-lb wrench).

Overall:
Looks great, much thicker than stock and adds over 0.5 extra quarts. Definitely use 75w90. The old 75w140 that drained out was like thick honey. Your Super 8.8 can’t tow heavy enough for 75w140 to make a difference.
