Duramax LM2, LZ0 Air-To-Water Intercooler Kit
Cooler and denser charge air is essential for diesel trucks. It directly impacts performance, efficiency, and engine longevity. That’s why your 3.0L Duramax deserves the PPE air-to-water intercooler upgrade.
The PPE intercooler utilizes an all-aluminum, bar-and-plate cooler core with durable cast-aluminum, TIG-welded end tanks. Unlike the factory crimped plastic end tanks, this design offers significantly improved heat resistance and handles turbo boost effortlessly. The PPE intercooler features a 2.4 times larger (140% increase) cooler core and highly efficient cooling fins in both air and coolant passages. The increased core size, combined with fluid-dynamically optimized end tanks, reduces air pressure drop by 77%, resulting in easier and smoother engine breathing and less turbo stress.
Our real-world testing showed that the intake air temperatures (IAT) followed the ambient air temperature very closely under various driving conditions. The IAT was reduced by as much as 30 degrees when compared to the factory-installed cooler in our back-to-back testing.

Went in pretty easy. I did have to sand a little bit of material away on the bracket due to the turbo rubbing and not allowing the bolt to go in, couldjust be an issue with the 2025s. Other than straight forward install. Made my son help so we got some quality time together.

The combination of the intercooler, Zilla pipe, S&B intake, and PPE cat-back exhaust significantly improves cooling and airflow, making it an ideal foundation for future engine tuning. It’s a must have!!!

Great addition to a truck , I just installed on my 25 3.0L
Simple to follow instructions and easy to install in short time .
Hoping this helps with avoiding long term issues with the smaller cooler. ( raw finish gives that factory look - after going back and forth on what one to get , I'm glad I went Raw ! )

We installed this intercooler on Saturday. The installation was easy. The fit was perfect, PPE did a great job designing this kit. When I test drove my truck I could feel the power and now I can spin the tires! Thank you PPE

Install took a little time, other than that was a piece of cake. This wakes the truck up especially if you have an aftermarket intake. Better mileage, more power, and super clean. Amazing piece!
