These tie rods are overkill for some, but when it comes to steering components, failure is not an option.

These tie rod assemblies provide incomparable strength and durability to your truck steering system. Featuring a 32% larger-diameter forged sleeve, 27% larger-diameter toe adjusting shaft, and 14% larger, stronger ball studs. The outer tie rod end features a spring-loaded ball-stud seat that maintains constant pressure and OEM steering knuckle taper. The inner tie rod end is adjustable through the end cap and contains a powdered metal ball seat as well as a rubber shim for clearance compensation.

NOTICE: PPE Tie Rods are engineered to fit GM stock steering components. Some aftermarket steering manufacturers have changed the placement of the tie rod mounting perch on the front spindle, which then requires a shorter tie rod. The Stage3 Tie Rod outers are fully threaded internally and may be trimmed to accommodate the relocated aftermarket perch location. An experienced installer should measure to determine the appropriate trim length.

Overextending the tie rod angle might cause damage to the inner tie rod or outer ball stud retaining assembly. Common causes include steep tie rod – steering rack angles, and overextension of modified suspensions.
