Upon the first oil change of my 2025 ZR2 Silverado 3.0 LZO Duramax….. I had (7) oil filter wrenches under my truck before I could find one of them that properly fit the super short, small diameter, flimsy, cheap-**** AC Delco PF-66 oil filter in order to remove it.
Knowing that the OEM filter was to be eliminated in favor of the PPE 114000650 filter……. I ordered the PPE billet aluminum, 76mm, 3/8” drive filter socket.
High quality tool…..: accurate fitment of the PPE filter…… super easy to use……. very easy to clean.
This tool makes install and removal a freaking cake walk !!!

PPE did a beautiful job machining this filter socket. I do all my own oil changes on my 3.0 Duramax and anything that makes the job easier is worth it. This socket fits the PPE filter (part 114000650) for the 3.0 Duramax perfectly - highly recommend.
