GM 6.6L Duramax High-Flow 304 Stainless Steel Down Pipe

Upgrade your L5P Duramax with the PPE Free-Flow Downpipe and eliminate the rusted, restrictive factory design. The PPE Down Pipe highlights unrestricted 3.5-inch diameter flow path, fully machined and TIG welded upper flange with factory-style V-band, and 304 stainless steel piping. It ensures smooth transitions for unobstructed exhaust flow.

To further enhance performance, it comes with a woven titanium sleeve that effectively insulates heat, protecting the engine bay.

Quality manufacturing

The cast and machined flanges are of quality I wouldn't want to hide under a clamp. They blend well with the pipe and would appear to have good flow characteristics. Everything fit right up as it should. I did end up needing to add a third hose clamp to the middle of the wrap to keep it from sliding down the pipe.

Down Pipe Review

The Product delivered fast and efficiently. The Down Pipe had tight fit but once you get it past the transmission dipstick the rest is easy. Everything connected how it should and I am extremely happy with the purchase. The only downside is that I could only get one side of the transmission dipstick tighten back up, but with the bigger size of the Down Pipe the dipstick is in there solid. I could have bent the bracket somewhere along the line during removal or installation. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting a after market Down Pipe for the LBZ Duramax.
