PREMIUM HIGH-EFFICIENCY OIL FILTER UPGRADE
The OEM PF66 filter falls short with only 130 square inches of filter media with a 30-micron filtration rating. The simple leaf spring design to secure the oil seal loses tension and can lead to dirty oil blow-by. It doesn't come with an integrated magnet to help protect your engine from ferrous metal particles.
The PPE upgrade has 222 square inches of superior filtration media that filters down to 10 microns, which equates to 70% larger media than the stock filter. A perforated metal center tube provides rigid media support. Blow-by is eliminated by a stiff coil spring.
The PPE filter also includes an integrated neodymium magnet with high-temperature rating, effectively removing ferrous particles from the engine oil. This can prolong oil life and prevents premature media cloggage. The base plate is upgraded with 30% extra thickness and 29% larger oil passages, which ensures uninterrupted oil flow.

Removed the super short, small diameter, cheap-**** AC/Delco PF66 oil filter on the first oil change on my new 2025 ZR2 Silverado 3.0 LZO Duramax + (7) quarts of Amsoil 0W20 Dexos D fully synthetic motor oil.
The PF-66 appears to me to be a filter that belongs on a very small 4-cylinder gasoline, car engine……… NO WAY on a diesel truck engine!!!
The PPE 114000650 oil filter is much longer……. much stouter……. has great internal features far above OEM…… and looks to be of very high quality overall.
First oil change at 1,277 miles……. second oil change will be at 5,000 miles….. then every 5,000 miles religiously.
This filter and oil choice is not inexpensive…… but a great investment for the long haul.

This filter is better than the oem filter in a couple of ways that i can tell as soon as i pick it up. Bigger, and the internals are definitely more sturdy. Oem is full.if weak plastic. Will never use another filter.

I use these religiously on my 2023 GMC 1500 Denali 3.0 Duramax and they are way better than the cheap oem that come with the vehicle.I highly recommend these .When you see them in person you will know what I am talking about!
