Heat Shield Battery Top Post

I was worried that at this price, they would just be Amazon like wraps. I bought two for my Duramax, and they are excellent quality, perfect fit. I have purchased a few other products for my truck from them, and they have all been top notch!

Installed on a 2007 Nissan Xterra. Missing the OEM battery heat shield. Wanted something that looked half-way decent and would get the job done.

Great product, wished it would have worked for me but it didn't.
It is about 5 inches too short and wouldn't wrap around my battery to connect together, for Jeep JLU Rubicon.
I was going to use it anyway and keep the main cover towards the engine side and the ends that were too short to connect together, towards the fender side.
But the Reflective Material is conductive and would slide up and touch the Positive Terminals and Ground Out on body parts.
Really was hoping to use this because when I had the factory battery replaced, they told me that the factory cover would hold the heat in because it was covered on top and all sides. so they kept it off when replacing the factory battery.

I received these battery heat shields promptly and they fit nicely. I like that they are an adjustable fit. Currently I have two yellow top Optima batteries in my truck and they fit snugly with no issues. As far as how do they perform, I don't know. I will probably do another review in a year or so to see if there is any change or anything noticeable having them installed. They area gold reflective outer material so I would assume they will deflect some heat away keeping the batteries cooler while the engine is running and cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Rated as a 4 star for fit and form. Cannot verify function until a later date. Then I will update the star rating accordingly.
