PPE ZF 8-Speed Cast Aluminum Deep Transmission Pan

The factory plastic transmission pan is designed to be removed and discarded during fluid services. PPE offers a permanent solution to that with added performance benefits.

The PPE ZF 8-Speed Cast Aluminum Deep Pan dissipates the transmission heat and keeps the transmission fluid viscosity in a desirable range.  It allows your transmission to handle the heat much better while prolonging its life.

Cast from high-grade A356.0-T6 aluminum alloy, it offers 1 quart of additional fluid capacity, ensuring long-lasting heat management and performance. The deep external cooling fins maximize the heat-wicking surface area, effectively dissipating heat to keep your transmission cool under pressure. These fins also add strength to the bottom of the pan and enhance impact resistance.

The built-in baffles at the bottom of the pan increase contact between the fluid and the pan’s cast surface, enhancing heat transfer. These baffles also reduce fluid sloshing, ensuring consistent fluid pickup and stable transmission performance.

This kit also comes with a replaceable trans fluid filter, mounted to the CNC machined filter supports. The drain plug ‘s equipped with a powerful, high-temperature-rated neodymium magnet that captures ferrous metal particles, providing additional protection for your transmission. The factory rubber gasket and steel collars are transferred to the PPE Pan during installation to ensure proper compression of the gasket.

Note 1: PPE ZF 8-Speed Transmission Pans SKU 228053000 and 228053400 are both compatible with the ZF 8-Speed Transmission with plastic stock pan. Both pans take the stock rubber gasket and steel collars for a precise fitment. However, these PPE Pans differ in depth, resulting in different capacity gains and ground clearances. The deepest section of the stock plastic pan measures 1.75 inch.

228053000 has 2.0 quarts of additional capacity.

228053400 has 1.0 quart of additional capacity, offering better clearances with skid plates and frame cross members.

Note 2: The ZF 8-Speed Pan is seen on a broad range of vehicles such as BMW/Land Rover/Jaguar. The PPE Deep Transmission Pan is compatible with many 2013-2018 BMW 2/3/4/5/6/7 series, X3/X4/X5/X6 SUVs with plastic stock trans pan.
