During the development of our PPE 3.0L Duramax Intercooler and Turbo Resonator Delete Tube, we identified a critical issue affecting engine health: significant oil and hydrocarbon emissions are vented through the crankcase ventilation system and redirected into the turbo compressor housing. These contaminants mix with EGR gases, leading to harmful carbon buildup in the intake manifold, swirl valves, and intake valves. Over time, this accumulation results in reduced performance, poor fuel economy, elevated EGTs, compression loss, increased emissions and, in severe cases, damage to vital engine components.
